O Brother Where Art Thou
Mike
was an East-Coast guy
transplanted (transformed?)
into a West Coast Guy - Santa Barbara style !
With Lydia Zartman, his life's love and companion, Mike blossomed after he made
his home between the Pacific and the Rockies.
When he was able to visit back east as he did right before he left us, Mike
tried to do 3 main things.
1) Visit family and old friends - especially his "Gloucester gang"
2) Go see Hatteras and the lighthouse. He loved the Outer Banks
3) Tell all the kids-
"Give me some Love"
Mike had a massive heart attack while at the Santa Barbara
Municipal Golf Course June 8, 2001. He had just celebrated
his 52nd birthday. Although he was on the
"outside" very fit and active, he had a deadly
dose of coronary artery disease, that was undetected in
routine physical exams. Mike will always be remembered for
his zest of life, his stubborness *laugh, and his kind and
gentle soul. Can't wait to see him on the other side!
